What to expect in 2011

Before leaving for New Zealand, official activities kick off on 17 June with an exclusive Bledisloe Cup wine tasting lunch in Sydney for Challengers, hosted by Phil Waugh. Learn More >>

Day 1: Friday, 5 August

Join your teammates and depart Sydney, flying directly to Queenstown on New Zealand’s South Island. On arrival in Queenstown you will be taken to your back-country base at Oakridge Resort where the Challenge will begin.

Oakridge Resort is set in a stunning mountain landscape offering majestic views overlooking the Southern Alps. At Oakridge, you can prepare yourself and your teammates for your unique adventure.

The charity challenge kicks off as soon as we arrive with a private training session with rugby champion Phil Waugh and his teammates Sosene Anesi and Ben Mowen. Extra points will be awarded for those who take part.

Then in the evening you will be whisked away to a secret destination, where we will set the tone for the coming two days, and giving you your current team and individual rankings in the competition before you start accumulating your points in the challenge activities.

Day 2: Saturday, 6 August

Today is packed with adventure, adrenaline highs and competition.

The ultimate driving experience begins after breakfast.

You will feel on top of the world as you complete your time trials. Challenge yourself first to ice-driving, then snowmobile racing and finally a dynamic snow driving challenge.

Drive like a pro as experienced instructors guide you through slalom, drift circle, lane change and the dynamic breaking into garage.

Throughout the day, collect your team times on the large autocross course, comparing performance and speed to see how you measure up.

After your unique snow and ice-cross adventure, you can finish off the day with rest and relaxation in Oakridge's many hot rock pools, hot tubs or saunas. The perfect way to recover and restock after a strenuous day on the ice and snow.

Day 3: Sunday, 7 August

Today's activities will challenge and heighten your senses, from your transfers to your destination to snow trekking and tubing at the top of the glorious Remarkables in Queenstown, we'll then treat your palate to sensational food and wine prepared by award winning chefs.

As the challenge comes to an end today, one team will come out victorious in The Move Movement Charity Challenge NZ 2011.
